Every calculator on PayTimeHub produces an estimate, not an official figure. This page explains what that means in practice for each tool, so you know what to trust a result for and when to double-check it elsewhere.
Not tax, legal, or payroll advice
Nothing on this site is tax, legal, accounting, or payroll advice, and using a calculator here doesn't create any kind of professional relationship. The paycheck calculator estimates federal and state withholding using standard 2026 tax tables and common assumptions; it does not account for every possible deduction, credit, filing situation, retirement contribution, benefits deduction, or local tax. Actual withholding on a real paycheck may differ. For anything that affects an actual filing, payroll run, or financial decision, verify the number independently with the IRS, your state's Department of Revenue, or a qualified tax professional.
Where the tax data comes from
Federal brackets, standard deductions, and FICA figures are pulled from primary sources (the IRS's own Revenue Procedure and the Social Security Administration's wage-base announcement), and each state's figures are verified individually against that state's own Department of Revenue before that state's calculator ships. Every paycheck calculator page shows a "tax data last verified" date. Tax data on this site was most recently verified on 2026-08-08. The full sourcing and review process is on the about page.
What the raise, salary, and hours calculators assume
The pay raise and hourly-to-salary calculators use gross figures, before any tax or deduction, and default to a standard 40-hour week and 52-week year unless you change those assumptions. Real schedules vary: part-time hours, unpaid weeks off, overtime, and irregular pay periods will all change the real number. The hours-to-decimal calculator converts clock time to decimal hours using the rounding rule you choose; if your employer uses a different rounding rule, or rounds at a different step, the totals won't match until you select the matching rule.
No warranty
These tools are provided "as is." We verify tax data carefully and correct errors as soon as we find them, but we can't guarantee a result will be free of mistakes or that it fits every individual situation. See the terms of use for the full liability terms.
