How this calculator works
Hourly to salary: your hourly rate is multiplied by your hours per week to get a weekly figure, then by your weeks per year to get an annual figure. Biweekly is just weekly × 2, and monthly is annual ÷ 12, not weekly × 4, since most months aren't exactly four weeks.
Salary to hourly: annual salary is divided by your total working hours for the year (hours per week × weeks per year). A $45,000 salary works out to about $21.63 an hour, $60,000 is about $28.85, and $75,000 is about $36.06, all at the standard 40-hour, 52-week schedule. The defaults are a standard full-time schedule: 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, which comes out to 2,080 working hours. If you work part-time, get paid time off that changes your effective weeks worked, or have a non-standard schedule, adjust either field, and both panels recalculate immediately.
